MoEC well played the coordination role with central statistics organization to finalize the nationalized indicators of SDGs. Moving on, Ministry of Finance who is leading the ANPDF where SDGs are supposed to be aligned with the ANPDF, several consultation meetings took place in technical level and deputy ministerial level to identify the activities which are covered under the ANPDF where the base is the six development councils and SDGs base is the eight budgetary sectors. 

Considering the mandate of nationalization of SDGs in Afghanistan there are council important steps to be taken forward by the government specially Ministry of Economy. localization, alignment and monitoring of SDGs in country level, luckily Ministry of Economy who is leading the agenda in Afghanistan are in the final steps of finalizing the nationalized indicators for the eight budgetary sectors. 

Moving on to The General Directorate of Policy and RBM (GDP&RBM) portfolio and its area of focus, as per the leadership decision, the SDGs coordination with various line ministries has been assigned to GDP&RBM.

Since the establishment of Ministry of Economy, ministry have taken lead in coordination, development and monitoring of all socio-economic policies in the country level, below is a snapshot of the key achievements made by Ministry of Economy. 

-Coordination of SDGs nationalization process with Line Ministries, budgetary unit’s and development partners. 

-Data collection, analysis and data validity of nationalized SDGs targets and indicators. 

-Consulting various segments of society, including, youth, civil society, academia and media on public awareness campaigns on SDGs nationalization process. 

-Developing SDGs monitoring system.
